Built for serious heavy-haul operations, the CASTROMAX® CST-MXH 3 LOWBED combines a 60,000 kg payload capacity, an ultra-low 320 mm loading platform, hydraulic steering on all three axles and a 5,000 mm telescopic extension.

The detachable hydraulic gooseneck provides direct front loading, while the mechanically widening platform adapts to construction machinery, industrial equipment, marine vessels and other oversized loads.

HYDRAULIC STEERING AND CONTROL

The steering geometry is calculated according to the Ackermann principle. All three axles are hydraulically steered through a hydro-mechanical system engineered by CASTROMAX®. If needed TRIDEC and/or VSE brand systems can be installed as well.

Rear steering operates synchronously with the front steering through an open- and closed-centre hydraulic system. Steering can operate together with the tractor unit or independently through the remote control and onboard LCD panel.

A high-resolution German Kübler encoder provides accurate zero-position calibration and carries IP65/IP67 protection for demanding operating conditions.

The trailer also includes an M2M-compatible PLC panel, regulator, circuit boards, fuses, communication cabinet and LCD control panel.

DETACHABLE HYDRAULIC GOOSENECK

The fully detachable hydraulic gooseneck incorporates the CASTROMAX® steering mechanism.

For loading, the tractor separates the gooseneck from the platform, allowing machinery to be driven directly onto the trailer from the front.

The spring-assisted front loading ramp can be moved left or right and can be raised or lowered easily by hand. Combined quick-release hydraulic and pneumatic couplings make detaching and reconnecting the gooseneck faster and more practical.

CHASSIS AND MATERIALS

The chassis is manufactured using certified high-strength structural steels:

• S355J2+N — 355 MPa yield strength

The well platform is connected to the axle group through a shimmed system. The shim plates allow precise adjustment of platform height and angle while providing additional flexibility.

Running-gear components are largely removable and replaceable, simplifying servicing, colour customization, component replacement and spare-parts supply.

PAINT PROTECTION

All surfaces are sandblasted before receiving:
